Hello, some of you may have noticed that I appear to have swapped my blue gi for running kit. There is a good reason for this – on April 12th
I am running the Brighton Marathon . This will be my third marathon (and according to Justin, probably my last!) and this year, as well as being determined to finish in under 4 hours, I am also raising money for CLIC Sargent, a children’s cancer charity.
I am running for a family friend called Jessica, whom many of you will also know from school and from another local karate club. She is an active, fun loving 11 year old, who up until six months ago, was happily living life to the full, playing her guitar, training for her next karate belt and looking forward to starting high school with her friends.
Following her sudden diagnosis of bone cancer last September, all this has been put on hold while Jessica and her family endure grueling treatment and surgery. CLIC Sargent are supporting them every step of the way.
If you would like to help CLIC Sargent continue their amazing work by making a donation to such a worthy cause, please click on the link below, or paste this link to my just giving website into your search engine – http://www.justgiving.com/Fiona-Hunt2
thank you so much, Fiona and Team Jess xxx
